What are the community saying about Picastro?

Here are what some of the astronerds using Picastro are screaming about!

MightyMonoPed — 5 Stars

Picastro is a game-changer for astrophotographers, designed by one of our own to meet the unique needs of this community. Unlike other social media, Picastro ensures that images are displayed without the usual compression constraints, allowing them to be seen exactly as their creators intended. The app boasts a simple, friendly, and highly effective interface that makes navigation a breeze for both newbies and seasoned imagers. One of its standout features is the absence of the typical governing algorithms; instead, content is appraised and rewarded by the community members themselves. This fosters a more genuine and supportive environment. Picastro is not just about showcasing stunning astrophotography; it's also focused on growth in all aspects. The app will continually improve its features and offers ample opportunities for learning, social interaction, and technical advancement. Whether you're just starting out or have been capturing the cosmos for years, Picastro is an invaluable tool for any astrophotographer.

Vladimir — 5 Stars

Not your classic social network Picastro is amazing new app where I can not only meet and talk to my astronerds, share experience and advices, but most of all - I can share my astrophotos in full quality and depth of details. It’s a gallery with beautiful and intuitive interface, I love I can list my equipment and add it to picture I post, making a full image card where all the parameters of photo are clearly seen. Works wonderful, without bots, ads, fake accounts... where have this app been last four years??

Nici P. — 5 Stars

I've been using Picastro for a couple of days and it's a fantastic app which has such great potential. I'm really excited to follow its journey and to be a part of it as one of the first users. I can already see that the community on the app is growing which is amazing and more and more people join in every day. Seeing my own and their images in high resolution is fantastic g I like that it's a platform which doesn't tolerate any bullying or negativity - it's all about lifting each other up in this hobby which can be so extremely frustrating at times.

A Farnell — 5 Stars

Not one for reviews but this app certainly deserves credit. Its super clean easy to use and view all the awesome images everyone is getting and it's great to see what there equipment they have used and help others learn a thing or two!! So from my experience so far it definitely deserves 5 stars.

Picastro SetUps©

You know the feeling. We all have different setups for different imaging sessions and existing social media apps it’s a pain to have to type that same setup detail over and over, so we’ve made that a little bit easier. Now we have Setups where you enter it once and repeat in your StarCards. Easy-peesy.

Hi res images with
NO Compression

We spend hours, sometimes days capturing ancient photons, and all we want to do is share those super detailed images with everyone who really cares about seeing them. Compression on existing social media simply kills our images. Picastro will NOT compress the images, so we all get to see your stunningly detailed images, the way you intended!
